St. Petersburg's age range is the defining fact. A 1920s bungalow in the Old Northeast, a 1960s ranch in the mid-town neighbourhoods and a 2015 build on the waterfront present three completely different pictures to a pool electrician, and the pool attached to each was installed under different code. There is no standard St. Petersburg job, and quoting one over the phone without knowing which you have is guesswork.

My house is from the twenties. Is the wiring a problem?
It depends what has been done since. Very little original wiring of that era is still in service, but partial rewires leave a mix, and cloth-insulated branch circuits behind a modern panel are common. An inspection tells you what you have and what insurers will ask about.
The pool light trips the GFCI. Is the light dead?
Usually not. It is far more often the niche, the conduit or the bonding, and replacing the fixture without finding the cause spends money and leaves the fault in place. The GFCI tripping means it is doing its job.
How far into St. Petersburg do you go?
The whole city. It is twelve miles from the shop, inside our normal service area, and there is no travel surcharge.
